The Abeng made from a cow horn known as the Akete was the main instrument of communication among the Maroons during the wars. They had a regular series of calls on the horn which summoned each other over great distances, such as warnings of the soldiers approaching. Even today horn-men still blow the Abeng.

"Once upon a time, I rode a seahorse into paradise". A truly fun and enjoyable equestrian experience for the whole family. A two hour ride with trained guides through the scenic countryside, along the shore to a beautiful, white sand beach where you can ride bareback into the sea with the horses. The ride ends by the GreatHouse poolside with complimentary refreshments.Minimum age 5 years and up. We select a horse to your riding ability. Weight limit 250 lbs. Groups are welcomed. Rides twice per day.
